Patricia Roy has written articles, books, training manuals, and resource guides focused on Learning Forward’s fundamental concepts about effective professional learning. She has most recently co-authored a series of books about the professional learning standards published through Corwin Press, and is also the co-author of Becoming a Learning School. She is currently developing online courses about establishing time for collaborative professional learning, diagnosing and planning professional learning, and becoming a learning system. Her areas of expertise include understanding and using the standards of professional learning, using and creating innovation configuration maps, planning effective professional learning, and analyzing the Standards Assessment Inventory (SAI). She has developed professional learning resource guides for Georgia, Arkansas, and Rochester, NY. She has also worked with state departments of education, districts, and schools across the United States as well as internationally.
