Carol Francois

Dallas, Texas

Carol François served as Learning Forward’s director of learning from 2008-2015 and is now the organization’s learning ambassador. A lifetime educator, Carol has served in roles including chief of staff for the Dallas Independent School District; associate commissioner of education at the Texas Education Agency; assistant superintendent for human resources for Wake County Public Schools; department director at Region 10 Education Service Center; grade-level principal in the Richardson Independent School District; and dean of instruction with the Dallas Independent School District. She spearheaded Dallas ISD’s balanced scorecard approach targeted at deep, systemic change throughout the school district. Carol assists school districts and companies around the country by offering executive leadership development coaching and services that energize both organizations and individuals. At Learning Forward she directed the Learning School Alliance national network, and as a consultant she leads the Galveston County Learning Leaders Initiative.
